Hubby & I talk of moving when retired &our 2 married daughters & 1 single son don't want us leaving..comments?

We have GREAT relationships! We adore them, we LOVE being around them, we need them in our lives too, but we want to live in a quieter more calm location with less expenses, costs, etc. Our two married girls plan to have babies in the next 2-3 years. It's crowded here, and other states are less crowded. Can we still keep a great relationship from a distance, can our grandkids have a good relationship with us from a distance? Will we lose by moving away? Any thoughts?
