Briggs and Stratton, gas pooring from carburetor?

I have a 4 Horse Power Briggs and Stratton push mower, that I bought from some maroon that didn't keep up will with it. I flushed the engine oil, cleaned the filter, and sharpend the blades. I got one good start out of it and then it flooded. Gas literaly started pooring from the carburetor.
