Did the mechanic charge too much to replace evap solenoid ?

I just paid a mechanic $212 for labor and $71 for a part. My check engine light was on and they said the diagnostic code read P1457- evap solenoid or 2-way valve. The work order says they ran the diagnostic, replaced the evap 2-way byp solenoid valve, and ran a road test. Since I am a woman and got stuck with them because of my schedule, I am wondering if I should have pursued a second opinion?
